Disgraced minister under fire over R104,635 New York trip with lover

• Former communications minister Dina Pule allegedly owes the Department of Communications R15,308.65, a portion of a larger R104,635 spent on a state-sponsored international trip.
• Taxpayers funded a trip to Mexico and New York City for Pule’s former lover, Phosane Mngqibisa, while she served in Jacob Zuma’s cabinet.
• DA MP Nazley Sharif asked Malatsi to furnish her with proof that Pule had repaid the department for all amounts spent on overseas trips with her lover.
