• The arrests took place on Tuesday, 19 October 2021, along with those of 2 other foreign nationals, and were initiated based on mutual legal assistance from the US Central Authorities
• The seizure of R42.5 million in operations targeting West African romance and investment scams is part of Interpol's Operation Jackal IV
