One of SPAR’s biggest investors sells over R100 million in the retailer’s shares
- Coronation Asset Management sold over R100 million in SPAR shares, reducing its stake from 10.89% to 9.53% of the company's total issued ordinary share capital.
- The sale was made at a time when SPAR's shares were trading between R39.70 and R39.95, and the actual value of the transaction could be estimated at between R104 million and R105.3 million.
- The disposal does not indicate a complete withdrawal from SPAR by Coronation, and the company remains one of the retailer's largest shareholders, with a stake of almost 10%.
