One data centre in South Africa will use more power than Kimberley or Nelspruit
- Teraco's Isando data centre campus will have a combined IT power load that exceeds the maximum demand of two provincial capitals in South Africa once its latest phase comes into operation.
- The data centre's 40MW JB7 facility is part of a larger expansion of the campus, which will boast a combined critical IT load of 110MW after completion in 2026.
- The growth of data centres in South Africa is expected to continue, with another facility planned to have a capacity that dwarfs all of Teraco's facilities, and a third facility planned by the Cavaleros Group to be even larger.
