R754 million boost for two of the biggest fibre companies in South Africa
- Sabvest Capital is acquiring 8.97% stakes in Frogfoot and Vox, two of South Africa's largest fibre internet providers, for R754 million.
- The acquisition is part of Sabvest Capital's expansion efforts into low-LSM markets in South Africa, with the companies reporting net losses after tax of R256 million and a negative net asset value of R665 million as of 31 August 2025.
- The deal is expected to accelerate the expansion process and bring in experienced investors to support the companies, with the transaction date set for 1 October 2026, subject to all relevant agreements being made before 24 September 2026.
