• Five Emfuleni municipal employees have been arrested over allegations of fraud and theft related to an alleged electricity reconnection scheme.
• The arrests were made by the Gauteng Police Killings Task Team (PKTT) in Vanderbijpark on August 21, 2026, involving employees from the Revenue and Electrical departments.
