End of the line for Truworths chairman after 23 years
- Hilton Saven will not seek re-election as chairman of Truworths after 23 years, and will retire on November 5, 2026.
- Saven has served as chairman since May 2004 and previously held positions at Mazars and Praxity, while his successor Hans Hawinkels has been on the board since February 2018.
- Hawinkels' appointment comes during a challenging period for Truworths, which has posted lacklustre results in recent years and is seeking to stem its decline through strategic initiatives.
