- Zenobia Abrahams was fired from NSFAS on 14 September 2023 for breaching the organisation’s policies.
- Abrahams forwarded and blind-copied nine work emails to her private Gmail account, containing NSFAS information, and was found to be in breach of the scheme’s Information Security Policy and ICT Security Management and Acceptable Use Policy.
- The Labour Court of South Africa overturned the CCMA’s ruling, finding Abrahams’ dismissal to be unfair and ordering her reinstatement and payment of back salary of R1.05 million.
