R445 million for Ramaphosa’s projects in South Africa

• The South African government has allocated R445.6 million in external private funding to various presidential programmes over the past five years.
• The funding, which totals R445.6 million, was received from a range of partners including philanthropies, industry associations, development finance institutions, and bilateral donors, and was used to support programmes such as Operation Vulindlela, the Presidential Employment Stimulus (PES), and the Just Energy Transition Investment Plan.
• The external partnerships have increased each year, with the allocated support peaking at R67,491,865 in the 2025/26 financial year, and the government has stressed that the funding is strictly regulated to prevent any conflicts of interest.
