A nice surprise for petrol prices in South Africa, and a first look inside Jaguar’s new car

• South Africa's fuel price under-recoveries for next month may flatten out by the time the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources makes the official adjustments in the first week of September.
• The rand/dollar exchange rate remained virtually unchanged overnight, with the rand strengthening slightly against the greenback, improving from R16.20 to R16.19 this morning.
• The strengthening of the rand against the dollar may contribute to lower petrol prices in South Africa, but the global oil price rise due to tensions in the Middle East could offset this effect.
