Final warning for South Africa this week

• The deadline for South Africans to register to vote for the 4 November elections is midnight, Friday 7 August.
• The Independent Electoral Commission hosted a final registration weekend, where over 1.7 million citizens interacted with the IEC, including 291,806 first-time voters.
• Voters who missed the in-person registration deadline can still register or update their details online until the final deadline, or use the voter registration via WhatsApp service.
