Good news for FNB customers in South Africa
- FNB will offer Smart ID and passport services at 240 branches nationwide by December 2026.
- FNB has partnered with Home Affairs for over a decade and has already issued over 14,000 Smart ID cards under the new digital model since its launch earlier this year.
- The rollout is expected to improve accessibility and reduce friction for customers, with the Minister of Home Affairs noting that more than half a million South Africans have already switched from the fraud-prone green barcoded ID book.
