Bonitas is breaking records in South Africa

• Bonitas posted a surplus of R1.8 billion for its 2025 financial year, the highest in its 44-year history.
• Bonitas has grown into the second-largest open medical scheme in South Africa, behind Discovery, with a total membership of 792,330 and a 2.9% increase in principal members to 369,186.
• The surplus was largely driven by the strong performance of South Africa's financial markets in 2025, with 54% of Bonitas' portfolios outperforming industry benchmarks, and the company's medical scheme reserve rising to R10.8 billion.
