Major Toyota recall in South Africa
- Toyota South Africa Motors has issued a recall of over 2,000 Urban Cruiser models due to a manufacturing defect in the combination meter, which can result in an incorrect fuel indicator.
- The affected vehicles, totaling 2,208, were sold between January 17, 2025, and June 3, 2025, with 2,015 units sold in the local market and the remaining vehicles distributed to neighboring countries.
- Consumers who own the affected vehicles are urged to take their vehicles to the nearest Toyota dealership for corrective work, which will be completed at no additional cost.
