Major retailer in South Africa launches full electric fleet

• Clicks Group launches 30 new-generation SANY heavy-duty electric trucks at its Montague Gardens distribution centre in Cape Town.
• The company has invested over R65 million in solar photovoltaic generation, battery energy storage, and charging infrastructure to support the adoption of the electric trucks.
• The fleet is expected to save the company around R20 million to R25 million per year in fuel costs, and R2 million to R3 million on reduced maintenance costs.
