The MG HS hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains are set to debut in South Africa in 2027, offering local buyers a more sustainable and efficient driving option. The hybrid model boasts a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with an electric motor and a 1.83 kWh battery pack, while the plug-in hybrid variant features a similar engine paired with a front-mounted electric motor and a significantly larger 24.7 kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery pack.
