Owner of Centurion Mall and other popular South African shopping centres is making R7.8 million a day

Redefine Properties, the owner of Centurion Mall and other prominent South African shopping centers, is raking in a staggering R7.8 million per day, with the company generating R2.85 billion in contractual rental income from its local retail portfolio during the 2026 financial year. This lucrative revenue is bolstered by the company's ability to recover operating costs from tenants, including services and property maintenance expenses, amounting to an additional R1.39 billion. The stability of these rental revenues is also supported by the high profile of its tenants, with 82.3% of its local retail space classified as Grade A.
