End of tipping car guards in South Africa as you know it

Pick n Pay has effectively ended tipping car guards in South Africa, as the retailer launches a new initiative to replace cash transactions with a voucher system. The vouchers, available in R5, R10, and R20 denominations, can be redeemed at any Pick n Pay store for groceries, eliminating the need for customers to tip their car guards. This shift towards cashless payments is a significant change, with the vouchers remaining valid for three years after issuance, offering customers a convenient and hassle-free experience.
