Dis-Chem, South Africa's leading pharmacy retailer, is undergoing a significant transformation, marking the end of its traditional founder-led setup. The group has restructured its management, reducing the number of executives reporting directly to Morais from 24 to 14, establishing clearer accountability and enabling management to make decisions more quickly. As part of its ambitious expansion plans, Dis-Chem aims to open at least 50 new stores annually, with a revamped store base and new "Store of the Future" format to be introduced over the next five years.
