New student village with 1,088 beds coming next to private South African university in rich Cape Town suburb
A new student village with 1,088 beds is set to open in two phases, with the first phase launching in 2027 and the second in 2028, in Durbanville. The RiverGlo development will offer students direct access to the university's campus, along with shared apartments, study areas, and amenities like a gym and coffee shop. This expansion is part of STADIO's broader strategy to complement public universities, increasing national capacity and providing students with more choice, according to the university's CEO.
