Apple joins $5 trillion club
Apple has officially joined the exclusive club of companies valuing over $5 trillion, becoming the second to achieve this milestone after chip-maker Nvidia. The tech giant's surge in valuation comes as the PayInc Economic Activity Index saw a decline of 0.4% in September, a contraction that follows a 1.2% increase in August, while the overall annual activity remained 1.8% higher. Meanwhile, Netflix is restructuring its workforce, laying off around 6% of its staff, a move that suggests the company is adapting to a challenging economic landscape.
