Absa director resigns with immediate effect

• Alpheus Mangale has resigned as an independent non-executive director to the Absa Group Board, effective 8 October 2026, due to personal reasons and future commitments.
• The executive joined the Absa Group board in 2023. His resignation from the Absa board follows his placement on special leave from his role as CEO of Seacom, a submarine cable company, pending an investigation.
• Mangale has served as Seacom’s CEO since 2023 and held several executive positions prior to his appointment.
