United States officially extends AGOA for South Africa

• The African Growth and Opportunities Act (AGOA) has been extended to December 2028.
• The AGOA programme lapsed at the end of September 2025, but was retroactively extended to continue to the end of 2026.
• South Africa's exclusion from the AGOA programme could have a devastating impact on local industries and thousands of jobs.
