Used electric car sales in South Africa have more than doubled, with 1,651 units sold in the past year, a 66% increase from the previous year. The surge in demand is attributed to the introduction of new EV models and variants that addressed key consumer pain points, resulting in a 13% decrease in the average price to R856,722. This increase in used EV sales, combined with a 91% rise in used hybrid sales, brings the overall sales growth to 92%.
