NSFAS CEO put in charge of South Africa’s Road Accident Fund
- Waseem Carrim has been appointed as the new CEO of South Africa's Road Accident Fund, effective 1 November 2026.
- Carrim was appointed as Acting CEO of NSFAS in March 2025, and has a background in accounting and public sector experience.
- The RAF is embattled and maladministered, with Carrim tasked with addressing its inefficiencies and operations amidst calls for it to be scrapped.
