Enoch Godongwana gives details about investigation into DA leader’s crypto company accused of illegally moving R3.5 billion

South Africa's investigation into Democratic Alliance leader Mark Burke's cryptocurrency company, Kastelo, has revealed that the fintech firm is accused of violating exchange control regulations to the tune of R3.5 billion. Kastelo, founded by Burke, the DA's federal finance chairperson, was allegedly contravening South African regulations through its crypto arbitrage trading service. The company's bank accounts were frozen last November, highlighting the severity of the allegations against Burke and the DA.
