R3 per litre pain for petrol prices in October

• Petrol prices in South Africa will be almost R30-per-litre at the pump in October
• Oil prices have sat over $100 a barrel for most of the month, and the rand/dollar exchange has dimmed, losing its edge in global trade
• The new prices will kick in on Wednesday, 7 October 2026
